DEATHS M'CAW, David - D23/10/1854 - At Glenluce, on the 23d inst., Mr David M'Caw, tailor, aged 34 years, after a long and very painful trouble which he bore with resignation and christian patience. He has left an aged mother to bewail his loss. HASWELL, Susan - D24/10/1854 - At Cairntop, Old Luce, on the 24th inst., Miss Susan Haswell, straw bonnet maker - much regretted. HUNTER, Jane - D23/10/1854 - At Welcroft Place, Eglinton Street, Glasgow, on the 23d inst., Jane, eldest daughter of the late James Hunter, Esq., merchant, Stranraer. She was a person of an amiable disposition, and of superior accomplishments - was a long time in England as a governess, and afterwards in a seminary in London, and from her lingering ailment was obliged to leave London and return home, where she expired with christian fortitude and forbearance.
