John - D28/6/1854 - At Nenthorn Manse, suddenly, on the 28th ult., the Rev. John Gifford, minister of that parish. Friends are requested to accept of this intimation. Mr Gifford was a native of the Rhins of Galloway, and a considerable proprietor in the Burgh of Stranraer. He was well known in Galloway, was an excellent kind-hearted man, a sincere friend, and was distinguished for his liberality.
