Ritchie married Stranraer 22/10/1851. David Married Margaret Rankin 12/08/1882 It was Margaret's 2nd marriage - she married Alexander Edgar 27/11/1879 and had a son Alexander Edgar died in a fishing accident along with his brother-in-law. Margaret Rankin's parents were Richard Rankin and Sarah Armstrong married Stranraer. Sarah Armstrong parents were Robert Armstrong and Sarah McEwan. I have only just learned some of this information and need help to take this further. Stranraer, Port Patrick and a possible Irish connection. I am willing to share my research and supply supporting details

C118911 Leswalt, Wigtown, Scotland Margaret COSH Birth: 1 Jun 1856 Parents: Father: William COSH Mother: Margaret RITCHIE Wigtown Free Press 14 May 1857: deaths "At Knock, Leswalt, on the 5th inst., the wife of William Cosh., aged 31 years" 1857 Deaths, Leswalt #9 - Margaret COSH, Labourer married, age 31. Died May 5, 5am at Knock, Leswalt of Valvular disease of the Heart, 18m, cert H. Robertson, Surgeon Portpat'k last saw decd May 4. Parents were John RITCHIE, Labaourer & Elizabeth WATERSON. Buried Portpatrick Churchyard, certd Henry Dugan, Sexton. Reg'd May 5, Leswalt.
