Since I don't have exact birthdates, to go on, I try to keep an open mind too. I keep forgetting that names were frequently misspelled. I didn't have any other siblings listed for Alexander. I was told 2 sisters, one brother, but that's not to say he didn't have them. I know he was in the 72nd Regiment of Highlanders called the Seaforth Highlanders joining in Glasgow in 1868, discharged in 1881.
