Rob, hello. I have several of the names you mention in your email in my family tree. Don`t know if there is a connection but there might be so, here goes. The following lived in Kirkmaiden, Wigtown. I have a Jane McCulloch married John Spence 17.12. 1755. They are my great grandparents x 5. John McClure and Helen Gillespie were my great grandparents x 4. I don`t know their dates but my great grandfather x 3 was their son and his dates are 1800-1883. I also have McMillans but they are from the Tynron area so don`t suppose there is a connection there.
