    3. Re the item: "DILL, Rev. William - M20/11/1855 - At No 8 Fettes Row, Edinburgh, on the 20th inst., by the Rev. A.W. Brown of Free St. Bernard's, the Rev. William Dill, minister of Colmonell, Ayrshire, to Margaret, daughter of John Parker Esq." This Willian DILL was baptised Penninghame, 21 Jun 1824, parents William DILL, (writer, banker, session clerk, registrar, Newton Stewart), and Elizabeth BLACK. Margaret PARKER was the daughter of John PARKER, (principal extractor of decrees, court of session, Edinburgh), and Margaret SCOTT. John PARKER was born in Wigtown, but I am unaware who his parents were. William DILL snr was born Minnigaff, about 1792. His father, grandfather and g'grandfather were also named William DILL. The last mentioned being my 5xg'grandfather. Regards, Bruce
