There are no Withers listed in the booklet for the old one but there will be many missing from there. The newer kirkyard around the present church lists some Withers. No 9. Janet Wither b. 1872 died 1950, married to Hugh Thomson No 133. Elizabeth Wither b 1771 died 1854 married to Robert Kerr. No 153 John Wither b. 1865 died 1927 son of Charles and Elizabeth Wither. The 1684 Parish List gives John Witter, elder and John Witter younger in "Kurckeume" Hope this is of interest to you. There are also 4 Ross stones and several Ros mentioned in the 1684 Parish Lists. One James Ross buried in Oakwood cemetery Simcoe, Canada. Diana > Hi All, > > > > Can anyone locate a William Wither b 1833 in Kirkcolm ?
