Would you know anything of what looks like "Castelaruick" on Pont's map, the other southern side of the "Blaidnoch River" from the town of "Wiigtown" the southern side of a creek from "Baldun", and north of "Skyith". Would there be any ruins of this castle showing on the aerial view of the map at : http://www. multimap.com/map/photo.cgi?client=public&X=243000&Y=552500&width=700&height=400&gride=243000&gridn=552500&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=hcgaz&pc=&zm=0&scale=5000&up.x=359&up.y=7 I cannot see anything that looks like "Castelaruick" on the 1684 Parish List of the Parish of Kirkinner and was wondering if it was put in with Kirkcudbright Lists to Edinburgh Register House where see "Warrants" (refer p.27 of Wigtownshire 1684 Parish Lists).
