Hi there, Do be wary of the spellings on MI's, as they can throw you off. The one in question here says William died at Telchuano. The place is spelt Telcahuano. I could not find a ship named "Obion" on the ships registers, however there was a ship "Oberon" which sailed from Valparaiso to Sydney in the 1850's. This ship may have called in to Telcahuano, then Valparaiso. I still have to follow this up in Chile. > > The website you gave is an excellent resource. > > Avril > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SCT-WIGTOWNSHIRE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
