My son who was down from Aberdeenshire visiting last week asked me if I had a book on the Lewis & Hart expedition - I did not but it is quite famous and I do have the Oregon Plate which depicts Merriwether Lewis and William Clark and details their amazing expedition of 1804-1806. Strange to see the surnames Merriwether and Lewis come up again in the message about Wm.Douglass and not only that, in the same family the name Tyrrell which I research, being the surname of one of my ancestors.
