The name Lycurgus appears in my Classical dictionary of names appearing in the works of ancient writers, one was a Greek King who banished Bacchus, but there are many examples of others in there and googling for the name brings up many in America, some in Germany, both Lycurgus and Lucurgus as surname and Christian name though it is not in my Oxford dictionary of Christian names.
