While I haven't found a Mrs. Riddock in Boston (closest is in Andover, Essex County), I did find a Samuel Patterson's naturalization file.  In both his Declaration of Intent and his Petition, he said he was born 15 Sept 1882 in Stoneykirk and arrived on the Furnessia with his last residence in Glasgow.
