Ann, As far as I can determine, the line you are referring to is: Samuel PATERSON-Margaret McGHIE and William CAMPBELL-Jane KILTY. William and Jane (of Kirkmaiden, Wigtownshire) had daughters Letitia and Sarah. Letitia married Samuel RUDDOX (coalminer) in Tarbolton, Ayrshire on 17 Mar 1871. Sarah married Samuel PATERSON (ploughman) on 8 Nov 1872 in Portpatrick, Wigtowhshire. Sarah and Samuel had at least 10 children. Son Samuel you refer to was born in 1882 (registered in Stoneykirk). Search of 1910 Federal Census in Boston, MA, will lead you to Letitia REDDICK (immigration 1893) and Samuel PATTERSON (immigration 1909). I will send you further details off-list.
