In amongst some papers I inherited I found a letter from my GG Grandmother, wife of Alexander Hunter, "tailor and clothier" in "Garliestown" (now known as Garlieston). In it she is repremanding her children for not having been in touch (not sure which ones but perhaps her daughter Jessie Anne Patience Hunter who was married to a John Tennant.) I thought you might be intersted about a Mrs William McClure who called in for a chat. Mrs Wm McClure was in a long time yesterday and says John and you are to be sure and stop a train or all night with them on your return home.
