Greetings to all Wigtownshire language specialists, I was doing a wee bit of piping at a church fete today and a Scot (ex Glasgow region) who heard me reported to his (Scottish) wife when he got home, "David is playing his pipes down at the church fete and he's doing it laldy (or laldie)".     3. Hi "Gi'ein' it laldy" as they said in Glasgow before I left for Australia nearly 50 years ago. I think it can be interpreted as "giving it your all". Be interested to hear other meanings.
