While I was searching (just out of curiosity) on the internet I found so many versions in so many places:  Dockray, Dochray (Castle) Duchra (Marsh), in Scotland, Ireland, Australia  (wherever people emigrated),  frequent surname variations, including Docwra.  I was surprised how many seagoing vessels through the years had the name, including a modern American ship. We FH researchers are often reminded to watch for differentiation, particularly in earlier times when many of the population could not read or write and much was passed down by word of mouth.  Betty
