A bit of follow-up on this: Children of John McKibband/McKibbon and Margaret Gibson: Alexander bap. Stoneykirk 11 May 1755 Grisal bap. Stoneykirk 07 MAY 1757 Susanna bap. Kirkmaiden 24 JUN 1759 Mary bap Kirkmaiden 5 June 1762 John in Kirkmaiden 26 Apr 1766 (though mother's name is not given for John). I have two of the records. At Alexander's birth they were in Balgregan (Stoneykirk), at Mary's in Muir park of Logan (Kirkmaiden). The parents John and Margaret were married on 4th March 1755, the banns having been booked on 20th Feb. So there may be something in the Stoneykirk Kirk Session minutes?
