Thanks to Linda, the Doherty name is in evidence. Has anyone come across Roseannah Doherty in their search? My grandarents were married in Urr, Kirkcudbrightshire on 22nd September, 1873. Amelia Eleanora Rae, daughter of John Robertson Rae and Mary King Leslie. James Davies/Davis, son of William Davis and Roseannah Doherty. Many years ago I found Roseannah to be probably from Whithorn. William Davis, born in Ireland, labourer, was from Stoneykirk. I haven't been able to get back to them although I have lots on Davis' but no Roseannah. Any help with this will be welcome. Cheers all; Olive.
