Or, anywhere in Wigtownshire for that matter. Until very recently (tonight in fact) I had only ever known the name "McMuldren". I have since determined the original spelling was in fact "McMuldroch". For some reason my ancestor, William McMuldren (b. 7 Sep 1817, d. 24 Dec 1877) changed the name a bit. His parents were John McMuldroch and Margaret Kirk. John was dead by the time William married his second wife (my ancestress) Jane O'Hara, in 1855. I haven't been able to determine if Margaret was still alive. I also do not know the name of William's first wife, nor do I know if he had any children with her. >From the "Farm Horse Tax, 1797-1798", I see 2 "McMuldroch" families, William and James, in Old Luce, Wigtownshire. Sadly, I feel like there's almost as little on "McMuldroch" as there is on "McMuldren" out there.
