Hi! Sorry to ask what will surely seem a ridiculous question to those who live in the area, but can someone tell me the geography re Helmsdale, Kildonan & Loth. I know my Henderson & Bruce families come from Helmsdale, but some of the birth records state Kildonan & some state Loth. Are these 2 parishes located in the town of Helmsdale? Is it geographically feasible for a family to live in Helmsdale yet register births in 2 different parishes or would the family have had to move? I have looked at online maps, but haven't been able to sort it out. Thanks so much!
