I don't proclaim to know a lot about the evictions in Sutherlandshire, actually I know absolutely nothing about them, I have been reading what has been coming thru the list etc....on it Where do I find these eviction notices?? I was sent an email tonight from the Orkney and it said that my John McDonald was evicted from Kirkstone in the Parish of Farr during sheep clearances and arrived in the Orkney in 1820. I dont think personally that the parish was Kirkstone.....is there such a place?? Cathy
