Hi, I am new to the list and hope I have got it right. My great grandfather was GEORGE MUNRO. He came out to New Zealand from Topachy, Altass near Rosehall, Lairg in 1854. He stopped over in Ballarat goldfields on the way. He married JANET SUTHERLAND in Auckland NZ. The only information I have of the family in Scotland is his father was ROBERT MUNRO of Topachy m JEAN CAMPBELL. I think GEORGE had a brother JOHN MUNRO m ISABELLA ROSS. We visited Lairg a few years ago and visited Auchintoul Rosehall and also Oak Cottage in township of Lairg. We would like to know of any descendents of the family. Thankyou.
