My ancestors were also from the Helmsdale area (John Macpherson and Janet McIntosh). They were listed in the Loth Parish in 1841, and in the Kildonan Parish from 1851 on. Apparently, the parish moved: The Kildonan Parish was decimated by the Clearances, so it was given part of the Loth Parish. Janet
