Christine, For the record, I found the file on my hard disk and have double deleted it. I'm amazed that Norton etc. can't 'tell' its software to isolate/delete this file if detected when the software does a regular sweep. I don't know if it's any comfort, but I have checked with one recent correspondent, and he hasn't been infected by me. I daren't tell you all the public bodies I've contacted recently, but believe me, Scotland will grind to a halt on 1 June if I don't act quickly! Incidentally, it's not enough to have wiped the file once --- we need to check again in the final minutes of 31 May in case of reinfection. Let's hope it's a hoax.
