I dont know what became of Jane but Elizabeth/Betsy married Magnus Sinclair Norquay and seemed to live her life there. next door William MacDonald, married age 36, Farm Labourer born Farr, Sutherland Barbara wife age 33 born Orkney Kirkwall James son age 4 born Orkney Burray This is the brother to the girls......also MY FAMILY, his wifes name is Barbara Groundwater, I cant find anything on any of his kids, they disappeared off the face of the earth next door in the house of John Groundwater there is John MacDonald no relationship listed age 38 recieving parish relief (dumb) born Farr Sutherlandshire This is likely the son of James and Ann MacDonald of Newland, Sutherlandshire, it is not clear where James was from in the Farr records ,it only stated that he was a soldier but Ann MacDonald was from Newland, Sutherlandshire according to the marriage details. This John MacDonald died , froze to death not far from his home in 1858, the details of his death revealed that both his parents were deceased and tho sketchy it looks like the informant was William MacDonald, Cousin He is living with Isabella Groundwater also....from Farr,Sutherlandshire age 47 and she is listed as a widow, I cant find a reference for her to determine who she is Well that's it folks I am sure if I order more of these fische....I will find more Sutherland connections to it, if and when I do , I will post them I also have the South Ronaldsay, Burray 1821 census records here, I didnt make any reference to any of these people on it, but if someone wants me to look for anyone in particular on them , just let me know Cathy Wagner
