Researching the family of John McKay - born in Brora, Clyne Parish, Sutherland about 1755. Surfaced in Canada with the Hudson's Bay Company at Brandon House in 1790. Died in 1810. May have been with the 84th Royal Highland Emigrants in the American Revolutionary War.
