Further to my earlier posting on this subject does anyone know if there were great numbers of Mackays in Skerray? Has anyone came across a marriage between Angus Mackay and an Isabella in the parish registers? Isabella, surname unknown but likely a Mackay, was said to be born the night before the Battle of Culloden in 1746. Her father was reputed to be a blacksmith. We know they had a son George born 1765 and are trying to confirm that they also had a son Angus. Thanks for any help or clues. Christine > Does anyone have any information on Mackays in Skerray?
