Hello Mary The names you give are not common to Sutherland so I took a look at the IGI. The only child born to Duncan McFarlane and Marrion Beaton in Scotland appears to be Angus, born or baptised 21 Feb 1808 at Kilfinichen and Kilvickeon, Argyll. Did they perhaps spend some time in Sutherland?
