    3. as promised One of the founders Mr Charles Denney of the Alberta Geneaology Society (AGS) created a huge series (many feet of documents!) of papers (The Denney Papers) related to thegeneaology of fur-trading families. The AGS of course has these in their library. Specifically for the Alberta district of the North West Territories censuses were taken in 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1906. There is an ongoing battle in the senate ( third reading atpassage it would go to House of Commons for reading and passage.)regarding access to later censuses. The 1911 census may be available after June 2003 depending upon the outcome of the fight to have access to censuses after 1906. http://www.compusmart.ab.ca/abgensoc/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "M Rosie" <m.rosie@shaw.ca> To: <SCT-SUTHERLAND-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, May 16, 2003 6:49 PM Subject: Re: [SUT] Off-topic: CAN & USA dates > The compulsory BMD may vary by province in Canada as well.
