Don, Don't have any information on the village but I do have it on a couple of map sections that I downloaded (I think from the Charting the Nation website) South from Loch Hope is the village of Mussel. South again is the Dun Dornadilla or Dun Dornigill. Continuing south the road shows a fork going westward into Glen Golly and ends at a shooting Lodge. Blaid is on this small fork. None of this is on the modern map, but I would think it is not far south of Altnacaillich in Strathmore. Let me know if you would like a copy of the map sent off list. My interest in Blaid is that my GG G-Father Donald McKay's (b abt. 1798) family seem to have come from this area. He was later evicted or cleared to Strath Melness.
