Thanks Sandra for this. Angus was christened in Thurso, Caithness on 28 Nov 1823. Prior to that his parents were in Farr and later children were born in Lairg so I think it is safe to say that these are Sutherland folks. Does this family appear on your tree? Mr Mackay was a resident of Toronto for forty-six years and during this time made many warm friends. Angus Mackay, who passed away at his late residence, No.12 Kensington Avenue, Toronto, in February 1903, was a well-known, highly-esteemed citizen.
