Hi All! I bet we are all working away like mad since all of this new information has surfaced. I certainly am! Does anyone have knowledge of the SUTHERLAND family who were cleared from the west end of Deuchary's to Fannich during the clearances? They were living 100 yards or so from my family in Fannich afterwards. A (grand?)daughter Catherine (Katy)b.1858 married John b.1856 SUTHERLAND( Fannich) in the Doll ,26 July 1884 and left for Canada the day following their wedding. John is the son of John SUTHERLAND b.1822 and Elspeth MACKAY.
