Did not know the story of these three Mansons, but having entered all but the last three lists from Karen into my database, I had notice a high proportion of TB/chest infection related deaths. I think my year was one of the first in UK to have a BCG vaccination against TB, at school. My uncle spent many years in isolation hospitals and died in the early 1960s of TB, so it persisted for a very long time. Looking at the deaths in Tongue I was also impressed by the high number of deaths in age late 80s and 90s. It is this sort of pattern that interests me. I have no known Sutherland ancestors, so its not necessarily the detail that intersts me, but I find the overall picture fascinating. Note: Parts of Golspie were flooded last Sunday night with high tide and high wind. Denise, Sutherland, Scotland
