List - Have received marriage information about a marriage in Edinburgh between John ROSS and Robina GUNN in 1907. Robina was listed as aged 34, making her birth year about 1880. 1880 and 1881 showed nothing for any Robina's at all, but 1879 showed a Robina GUNN born Rogart #6 much to my surprise ! Before I started the Sutherlandshire Postings I had no clue where Rogart was - but I do now ! If anyone is interested - here is the data, it turned out not to be 'my' Robina GUNN. 1907 Marriage January 8 in St Giles parish of Edinburgh, entry # 58 : Free Church marriage at The Manse, Alness, between John ROSS, Minister of the United Free Church, a bachelor aged 34 and Robina GUNN, a Schoolteacher, spinster aged 27. She lived on Priorost Road, Ferry Port on Craig. His parents were John ROSS, Farm Manager and Phobe ROSS [same married surname as maiden surname]. Her parents were Alexander GUNN, Farmer and Isabella BANNERMAN. Witnesses were W. Lonnon SMITH and Jane GUNN I have no PROOF that this Robina GUNN is the same one born in Rogart, entry # 6, but the age indicates a strong possibility. MEG
