Isabella thanks for your replies to my post. Sorry for the delay in response - technical difficulties! You've probably seen by now that Malcolm thinks the murder was unlikely, but Benjamin's death has always fascinated me because of the family legend about murder so I was intrigued to read the newspaper report of his death. I found it very poignant. Thanks so much for posting it. Thanks also for all the extra information on the Murrays. Some of it I had already, but I think I shall find some extra in what you posted. We are obviously distant cousins. For your information, Bertha Leslie born 22/11/1913 was my grandmother.
