Hi Everyone, I have obtained a copy of an extract from the LDS records of my gg grandparents DONALD MUNRO and HELEN SUTHERLAND'S marriage. It tells me nothing except the date they married and that it took place in Dornoch. My question is if I apply for a Full Marriage Certificate will it show any more details like names of parents etc or am I wasting my money. Judy It depends on the date they married. Prior to 1855 you may only get the name of their croft and sometimes not even that. From 1855 you will get a wealth of information including both sets of parents, whether they are alive or dead, occupations of the fathers, occupation of the bride and groom and the address they were living at.
