    3. The Weather in Yorkshire is almost as hot as it was in Slovenia 10 days ago wish we had stayed a bit longer ! mind you it looks like the Highlands could be wet again shortly . To serious matters I am still trying to trace the ancestry of James McBeath who married Ann McBeath in Reisk 1798, he was a member of the 2nd. Sutherland Fencibles and like a bolt out of the blue it occured to me over the weekend that as the Fencibles were raised from the Sutherland Estate he must have come from same ? At least I think so I have seen references to lists of possible recruits tried various Military sites but all to no avail the English Fencible Regiments seem so well documented and to think without the S.F.R. no Thin Red Line and no Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders ( said tongue in cheek) Has anybody any ideas? Christine says it,s a bit quiet so I,ll prattle on a bit more.John Sutherland my Great Great Grandfather lived at Ladies Loch Brora my Uncle in Inverness says it is now a ruin b! ut I cannot find it any ideas I have asked Ronnie at the Brora website to have a look this is a good site.
