Noted on "Kildonan Militia List 1809" - Malcolm's welcome posting of Tuesday, 18 Mar 2003: 50 Thos. Suthd servt. to Mr Sage Kildonan "Mr. Sage" was Alexander, the Minister of Kildonan at the time, but "Thos. Suthd" is a new name for me. Can anyone cast light on this gentleman (presumably Thomas SUTHERLAND)? 1. Is there a reference to a Thomas SUTHERLAND in the sections on Kildonan in the book Memorabilia Domestica (memoirs of the minister's son, Rev. Donald Sage)? 2.
