I have been busy preparing our book. It is a pleasant task as I am enjoying the stories sent in by many of you. Some really good photographs also. The book holds promise of being really good but we still need more stories. If you have not yet written your tale and wish to please do so. I feel it would be better to delay completion to make the book worthwhile rather than complete now when it is ‘good but incomplete’. Perhaps many of you have the stories to tell but feel you cannot write well enough for inclusion in a book? I have found many people on this list who have the ability to write well and many others who have a story to tell – shall we try to match them up and create more stories? If you feel you fall into one or other of these categories please let us know and we will see what we can do. To the best of my knowledge there has never been a book like this – there are many books on different areas but none specifically on those who left Sutherland and spread their wings across the world. Finding descendants of those who left Sutherland and started a new life in countries overseas should be easy through this list! What do you think?
