    3. hope this isn't a duplicate - I have a distant male MURRAY......perhaps Alexander of Sutherlandshire, but I heard this story many years ago. Just prior to 1938, my father George Alexander MURRAY II (1906-1965)gave railroad fare to his father George Alexander MURRAY (1861-1938) to 'see the pipes for one last time'. The 'pipes' were in the custody of grandfather's brother Gilbert MURRAY (1864-x), in Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA. They were two sons of Robert P MURRAY (1821-1896) of Suthlandshire and Annie nee Matheson MURRAY (1835-1886) of West Zorra Township, Ontario, Canada. All seven children were born in Zorra Township. These bag pipes were an honorary presentation from a high English noble (king?) to a g? g grandfather who was a 'Piper Major in the Gordon Highlanders'. I hate to gilt this story TOO much, but I was told they were 'gold plated'. Does any part of this story make sense? George Alexander MURRAY ||| Kalispell, Montana, USA 59903-2176
