Ian Regarding children baptised in Clyne parish when they did not live there. This did happen. Sometimes the eldest child was baptised in the mother's home parish. Also at the time of church disturbance or unrest many people were known to take their children to neighbouring parishes for baptism. Perhaps a minister they preferred? Cannot recall exactly where I read this but it did happen. I found it using both www.streetmap.co.uk and multimap.com.
