Points to bear in mind: arrangement of parishes in Reay estate dates from 1720s; coastal part of Loth transferred to Kildonan in 1840s; boundary changes in 1890s removing outlying districts - I seem to recall this affected outlying district of Dornoch; and transfer of parish of Kincardine from Ross and Cromarty to Sutherland following local government re-organisation in 1975.
