    3. Hi, I was born near Earltown, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, an area almost entirely settled by Sutherland people between 1813 and 1840's. The few exceptions were from Kincardine, Ross; Moy, Inverness and some bordering areas of Caithness. My own Sutherlandshire ancestors were: Matheson - from Balblair, Golspie, cleared to Rogart in 1818 and came to NS in 1832. Matheson - from Leatty, Rogart to Nova Scotia in 1818 MacDonald - from Clyne to NS in 1820 (Alexander son of Adam) Baillie (1) - from Scottary, Clyne to Earltown circa 1820 Baillie (2) - from Dochfolly, Clyne to Earltown circa 1821 Anderson - Badnellan Ferguson - from Kilfeddermore, Clyne to Earltown in 1818 Graham - from Urachyl, Clyne to Earltown in 1820 Sutherland - from Rogart Parish to Pictou prior to 1820 MacPherson (1) Lived at Balblair, Golspie prior to 1818. May have originated in Durness MacPherson (2) Leatty, Rogart Sutherland - from Hellanan, Clyne to Earltown in 1821 MacDonald - from Creich and Lochbroom to Pictou County in 1801. Murray (1) - from eastern seaboard of Sutherland to Pictou Co. in 1773 Murray (2) - from Fleuchary, Dornoch to Pictou Co., in 1832. Glen Matheson Glenholme, Nova Scotia

    3. Glen: I don't suppose you know what ship your MacDonalds and Bailies came over on in 1820? My Sutherlands came from Clyne in 1820 as well, and I'd love to know the ship. Might be the same one as yours.
