    3. Hi Rhonda I have a bit on Catherine Grant. Catherine Grant was listed as age 46 when she came over on the 1813 expedition on the ship Prince of Wales. Her husband died of typhoid fever 2 Sept. 1813 and the remaining family and passengers wintered at Churchill in sub-zero weather with few rations. The eldest three children snowshoed from Churchill to York Factory in April 1814. Catherine and her youngest Alexander joined them on 25 Aug 1814. Catherine went east to West Gwillimbury, ON with her sons Donald & Alexander on 16 June 1815. Hope this helps. It is taken from The Lord Selkirk Association of Rupert's Land 1812 - 1997 Book.
