Nonsense, Christine --- you *love* looking for your ancestors! I fully intend to be somewhere quite unexpected on census day --- possibly on a train between Cardiff and the most northerly point to which a train now goes in Scotland, which is --- where? Or we could all swop houses for the day?? (The younger generation has it all too easy already etc. etc. grumble grumble.) Sara

    3. Yes Sara I could go along with that. In 1841 the Murray men of Dornoch all 'vanished' - it was said that they slept the night in the heather rather than give their personal details! If we all 'did a bunk' would save paper - I understand the new census form is 'like a book'!
