Hi Sheryl Vic Oz (?): I would guess that Roberta was a daughter of the following Robert Pope of Loth? From the Sutherland Papers: (these two entries are notes of Patrick Sellar) Vol2 p6, note 1: 'Robert Pope, tacksman of Navidale, received a wadset of Gartymore, Achintou and Liriboll on 27 September 1799'. Vol1, Table III, pp238-240: Wadsets in existence in 1802 but redeemed before 1816: #11. Gartymore (Loth); held in 1802 by Robert Pope, who disponed to trustees in 1808; redeemed in 1815. There was another Pope family in the area; I think a brother of Robert Pope. There are others who would recognize this family on the list.
