Howdy Chris and List, So I will list again my guys from Golspie, Sutherland. Since there is evidence that Stephen Clark and wife, Euphemia Douglas, first lived in England and came to Golspie and Culmaily in about 1820 and left in about 1832, they didn't leave much of a permanent record there. So I seek more indirect bits of evidence about their stay there. Stephen was a shepherd on the Culmaily farm. Here are their kids and where and when born: Ellen, England, about 1818. Alexander, England 1819. Mary, Golspie 1820. George, Golspie, 1822 William, Golspie, 1823. Marion, Golspie 1825. Euphemia, Golspie 1826. Thomas, Golspie 1828...my gggrandfather. Margaret, Golspie abt 1830. Nancy, Quebec 1833. Stephen, Quebec 1836. So maybe six of the children may have gone to school in Sutherland. They were likely Wesleyan Methodists. They likely sailed to Canada in that big Sutherland group that went in 1832. So my quest is to find some mention of them on some list or document. If you run across their names in your research please let me know. My ultimate goal is to find Stephen birth and marriage records in England and Euphemia 's birth record "in the Orkney Islands".
