I was looking in an OPR for the birth/christening of a gt gt grandfather probably about 1800 -1810, but could not find it though the copy was reasonably easy to read. So went on with other bits of the family and under 1830 found his baptism with age given as 24 and his parents names!1 He was married 3 days later so think he had to be baptised to marry in church--but a beautiful example of the need to persevere!! regards, Ann Mackay
