Hi Listers I have previously written to the list re Finlay MCDONALD & Elizabeth ANDERSON of Lairg parish who took most of their family to Canada in 1830, except for son Angus who stayed behind to marry Margaret MCCOLL, the latter two taking their large family to Victoria Australia in 1853. Finlay had a brother William whom Florence PATTERSON reports went to Canada also with his wife Lillie and issue Philip, Hugh & Neil. A quick search of the IGI reveals NINE issue baptised at Rogart parish to William MCDONALD & Lilias MACKAY, Philip, Hugh & Neil being the youngest.
