I have some relatives allegedly from the Sutherland area, but before I go posting a bunch of misinformation I'd like to know where I can get a nice map of Scotland. The one in my old World Almanac is nowhere near detailed enough to help me out. Janet Greig in MN USA
Hi Janet Welcome to the list. Do you want a map of Scotland on the internet? If the places you are going to look up are from Sutherland or the Highlands in general you may not find them as a lot of the old places are gone now. Try www.streetmap.co.uk I use that and find it very helpful. Please do not hesitate to post your queries anyway. We will soon tell you if you are in the wrong county. Someone may even be able to tell you where they are. We are quite a friendly, helpful bunch.
